  2. Editors’ Notes It wasn’t just that Rubber Soul was sonically groundbreaking (it was), or that Lennon and McCartney’s songwriting had reached new heights of maturity and ambiguity (okay), but that it was the first Beatles album where each song seemed to exist unto itself and yet worked in alchemical harmony with everything around it: the emergence of the pop album as creative kaleidoscope.

  5. Often referred to as a folk rock album, particularly in its Capitol configuration, Rubber Soul incorporates a mix of pop, soul and folk musical styles. The title derives from the colloquialism " plastic soul " and was the Beatles' way of acknowledging their lack of authenticity compared to the African-American soul artists they jeffspeclandverbzidys.mamontioplutawgussunblysneychecdeco.infoinfo: Folk rock, rock, pop.

To me, the RB mixes have that warmth that are lacking on the CD's, plus many of them have previous unheard of parts. I think that there is a reluctance for many here to invest in the game and/or game system because they are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with it.

  8. Note: Review - Digital Remaster, enhanced CD. Rubber Soul was The Beatles' first, and in my opinion, best concept album, and CD did it justice. Not sure why Track Listing changed since '65 release but sound was sharp, clear with probably maximum achievable fidelity/5(K).
  9. All tracks are the Rock Band computer game versions which are not identical to the ones on the original Rubber Soul vinyls or CDs. All include count-ins, short comments by the Beatles, audiable different mixes, and, in some cases, unique longer fade-outs. This issue is printed on Red vinyl 3/5(2).
